Preventing Parvo means understanding the importance of vaccinating your puppy or kitten. Vaccinations are typically given at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. These vaccinations are referred to as a “series”. These vaccinations are time-sensitive and need to be given 3-4 weeks apart through 16 weeks of age.
Until your puppy or kitten has had a “series” of vaccinations, they are not protected. Keep puppies out of parks, or any other areas where you are unsure of the health and vaccination status of the other animals around.
