APPLICATIONS

We ask that when placing an application on an animal, you first have a particular cat or dog in mind. We do require that you meet the animal prior to submitting an application, and we require that everyone living in the household meets the animal prior to adoption.

You must be 18 years old or older to adopt an animal. We do not hold applications for longer than two weeks. After that, you will have to submit a new application.

We ask for three personal references that are not related to you. We also request landlord information if you rent. Veterinary information is required for all animals that live in the home, or animals that have passed away in the last year. Pets living in the home with you must be spayed/neutered, and must be current on distemper and rabies vaccinations - this includes cats, even if they are indoors only. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please plan to bring to the shelter any other dogs currently living in your home. (We must do a "meet and greet" to ensure compatibility).

***IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION FOR AN ANIMAL LABLED "Coming Soon" (young puppies/kittens, those awaiting medical clearance, etc.), you must meet the animal within 48 hours of submission. Failure to do so will invaidate your application after the 48-hour period. Re-submissions will then be placed at the end of the queue, as we reserve applications in-order on a first-come-first-serve basis.

For questions regarding a specific "Coming Soon" animal, please refer to the front desk staff at the Dog/Cat Shelter.

Please read all of the information on this page prior to downloading our Adoption Application.
