Hi, I'm Emerson. Yes, that's the same name as the famous Ralph Waldo Emerson, a wise and intelligent man. I, too, am wise and intelligent. I can't write or speak as well as Ralph Waldo, but people here respect and love me as much as people used to loved Emerson when he was alive. I am incredibly handsome, too, with unique markings. You can't miss me.
I was found as an injured stray. I was a bit shy when I came to MaxFund, so I spent a few years in the feral room. But the folks here realized I'm a friendly guy, so I got moved to another room. Now, I may be one of the first cats to greet you when you arrive. If you want to pet me, I will let you.
I love treats and wet food. Boy, when people take out the food, I am right there waiting. Unfortunately, some of the other cats here are pretty aggressive about food. So I often don't get the treats and soft food. But I certainly try. I'd sure love it if you brought me home and gave me wet food. I'd settle for just a home, but a little wet food would be lovely.
While I was in the feral room, I met Floyd. We were moved into this room together and for a while, we were in a cage together. We love each other now and like to rub heads and groom each other. So we'd love to be adopted together. We are soul mates, so if you want two cats who already love each other, rush down here and get us. We would like a nice loving home with someone we can trust. Is that with you? I sure hope so. I've waited since 2005 for a home. I'm ready to find my forever home, and I hope it is with you!
